I decided to work in color today. Rare for me. I love me some graphite. Here's what I drew today. Turns out the exaggerated style works better when detail can be seen... her eyes and mouth look awkward so large in a soft pastel. And now I know. Back to the drawing board!

I think she looks great, although I do understand about some of the details being lost with the color. But I am betting you will iron out the details.
It was the first time I was using PrismaColor Art Stix. I thought it would be a softer, slightly chalky medium like conte or pastels that would work well on textured paper, but it doesn't behave at all like pastels would... more like a woodless colored pencil. Very stiff, and unblendable. So now I know... SMOOTH paper next time. :)
