Well, I couldn't stay away for long... I decided to revisit a graphic design shop. I had incorporated some eVites and Digital Birth Announcements in to my current shop at dunkdesigns.etsy.com, but I started to receive lots more graphic design requests for logo designs and photo edits and promotional post cards. I started to think it would do me good to separate the two... fine arts from graphic design... and create two more specialized shops. It benefits me to have a graphic design shop separate also because those times when my eye is bothering me, and computer work isn't possible, I can simply place the new shop on vacation while still keeping the stocked fine arts shop open. It is still in the beginning stages, but you can check out my new shop at bubblegumgarden.etsy.com.
A little about how I named the shop:
It was inspired by my daughter (aren't kids great inspiration?). I was outside gardening with her and I had given her 6 small "learning garden" pots (they're shot glass size, so kids can plant herbs and watch them grow). She had finished planting hers while I worked on the big garden and then started playing with bubbles. I turned around to find her pouring the bubble solution over the soil in the pots and declaring that she was going to grow bubble gum, haha. And that's where the name came from. My little imaginator.
